Healing

Healing takes place in your mind, body, spirit, and emotions.

You may be thinking — “Hey! the mind and the emotions are the same!” But they’re not always working together. Sometimes, through traumas large and small, they separate.

Here are some ways to bring alignment and balance back to your being:

  • Reflexology
  • Affirmations
  • Meditation
  • Good sleep
  • Exercise
  • Healthy Eating
  • Massage
  • Energy Healing (Reiki, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Acupuncture)
  • Time with loved ones, including pets
  • Charitable service to others – aka Random Acts of Kindness

Anyone can do it…..
You may be asking yourself “who actually does this, and does it actually work?” And the answer is: ANYONE CAN HEAL themselves and others. It just takes

  • training
  • concentration
  • a willingness and the strength to face truth
  • respect and gentleness with yourself and others
  • a great deal of tolerance and compassion.

Since we’re human, we’re not always able to do all of these things at the same time, all the time. Be patient, yet diligent.

MEDITATION:

“Pull Yourself Together”
Great for when you’re feeling scattered, pulled in too many directions, jumbled.
Sit down if you can. Close your eyes, or look at something beautiful that calms and refreshes you — a nature scene, a gorgeous piece of art. Ask the Universe, God, your Higher Power, to protect you and assist you. Breathe slowly in and out a few times, until you feel your mind and body relax (at least somewhat, this part can take practice but you’ll get results even on your first try). Open yourself to receive back your energies, the pieces of you. On an in-breath, ask all of your parts to return. Breath out, relaxing, letting them come rushing back, filtering in, rejoining you. Continue breathing fully, deeply, relaxing while you adjust. Take a healing breath in. As you breath out, release any energy that is not yours, that isn’t good for you. When that is done, picture yourself wrapping a beautiful cloak or blanket, of any color or colors, all around yourself to keep everything that is yours with you and to protect you. When you are satisfied, take a huge breath in, and congratulate yourself.
